Alberta Regulation Change on July 1, 2009 for Scooters

Many of you are aware of this change, but I thought to share on the open forum the contents of an email I received from Alberta Transport in regards to the changes that took effect as of July 1, 2009 with the regulations in Alberta pertaining to scooters. Basically, Alberta aligned with the federal ...

Exhaust

I am doing a new exhaust for my Vespa ET2 50cc. It came with new springs and rollers and I had to buy a new jet for the carb ($8.00) I will put the muffler on myself to save on costs, and it's pretty easy with a simple socket set. But I am going to get topgear to do the rollers and upjetting. I woul...

Calgary Rally Motel ideas!!

We are planning to make it down to Calgary for the Rally. Does anyone have any Hotel/Motel recommendations? Maybe someplace where our bikes will be safe overnight? Unfortunately I have to work until the mid-afternoon that day, so we will have to book it to make the Friday pub get-together. Were also...

Re: Thanks for a great 1st rally!!!

Agreed, you guys had an AWESOME sense of humour about everything. Hope to see you out at some meetings and club stuff soon!

Did the trophy survive the ride home with the dollar store bungees?

Cheers
It made it just fine. Already proudly mounted in the garage![/quote]

Addicted

We are TOTALLY addicted. She can haul some ass in the LX150. No more back of the pack for her. I think this is it for her. That bike has more power than she will ever use. She is still a bit shy above 80KM/H.

The other guys name at TopGear is Tony. A bit hard to understand over the phone, but he fixed my carb up real nice. No problems at all.

Hey guys ... is the Sunday June 28th meeting at 1pm still a go? My wife is dying to take her brand new LX150 out for a rip and my ET2 KISS Vespa needs to see some excercise. - James

Calgary Rally Needs a KISS fan!

Hey ... its the ET2 KISS guy James. I was just down in Calgary picking up a new LX150 for my wife (the Edmonton rally was enough to convince her to get a bigger bike). So when we attend the Calgary rally we should be in a much better position to keep up! I hope to have my new muffler and rollers don...

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Just wanted to give a big shout out of thanks to everyone that posed suggestions in response to my problem. As it turns out, the carb needed a bunch of adjustments as a result of being being parked for so long (the previous owner I bought the scooter from never rode it). It was not easy adjusting th...

RE stalling

Captainwhoopass It just chokes out back to an idle. The engine is still running. When you go to give it some throttle it lugs like it is stuck in cement, and if you don't let off the throttle it will stall out. Starts up again no problem. Seems to happen hot or cold, heavy load or idling. Can't figu...

Reply to LX150 Problems

I can't personally help you fix it but I can suggest going on line to buy the mechanical guide for the LX150. You can purchase same on the Haynes web site or ebay often sells cheaper copies. I bought one for my LX50 and they work great. You should be able to read along and do it yourself from there....
