Re: Merry Xmas 2023

I am, of course, way late to this but in my defense I have been scuba diving almost every day since I got to Cozumel on Dec 18. So a belated Merry Merry and Happy Happy to all of you and yours, you marvelous scooter trash people. Now in order to keep this marginally on point wrt to scooters, it is n...

Re: Canada Vespa Days 2024

Add another 2 to 3 hours to get to KVille from YYZ, depending on the traffic. Now this is just my EXTREMELY BIASED OPINION but I wouldn't cross the street to visit Kingston. YMMV. For those who haven't had their lives partially destroyed by that armpit of the world, a riding tour of the locks and th...

Re: Sunday Oct 30

It was great seeing you cats again. Maybe I will bring a helmet next time and see if I can scrounge a ride. Of course that isn't certain, what with my inability to even scrounge a dollar. :)

Ride safe all.

Anybody need a P

Hi all I was putting the plates on the ET yesterday for the first time this year and a dude at the insurance broker asked if I was looking for another Vespa. As it turns out, I helped a friend get the bits and pieces to rebuild the bike in question and I am reasonably confident in his mechanical ski...

A disturbance in the force....

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened. https://2yrh403fk8vd1hz9ro2n46dd-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/justin-bieber-x-vespa-first-look-limited-edition-scoo...

Passing through

Hey all, I have an overnight layover in Edmonton on the 13th of Dec if anybody wants to get together for a coffee.

Re: For Trevor:

Sorry, I have been away. But I loved that video. Now I may be a bit biased but how can you not enjoy a video that pays homage to the surrealist artist Magritte, uses a sex toy to describe a variator, and quotes American Psycho.

It's a half-a-busa.

It was nice seeing you guys. Expect to see us more often as Hannah has settled in the area and covid is starting to fuck off a bit.

It was good chatting with you cats again.

If you do plan a revisit to the mighty Jaw once covid backs the fuck off, just give me a bit of a heads up. The gravel spreading crews need at least two weeks notice. :)

Keep em shiny

If you do get interest to run up some zoom club meetings let me know. I would play along if the schedule lines up.

I haven't connected for a while so I missed this. But on a positive note, I ordered the nut and the brake pads from the Toronto shop with no drama. I might try to 3d print the P200 turn signal covers. I have some translucent filament that may fit the bill if I can work out the design. I have a 14 da...

No parts yet and covid has introduced logistical difficulties so I am going to have to forgo the Cowville trip.

With the oldest daughter now living in Edmonton, the odds of a visit with a scooter in tow are definitely high.

Ride safe all, but not too safe.

The only way that happens is if you all stop riding scooters. :)

Thanks John. Looks like the Toronto shop is the way to go. Shipping from LA was going to kill me as was SIP. The, ahem, parts people at my local moto shop are lost as soon as you don't say Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc I tried to shop local but alas it was a bust. I meant the rear signal light covers. ...

Anybody ordering parts these days?

Two questions. Is there currently a reputable parts dealer for modern Vespas in Canada that anybody can recommend. If not, is anybody doing a SIP order in the near future. I need a couple of small things and don't feel like spending 50 on shipping. Brake pads and front variator nut for the ET and a ...
