So the Sprint passed the OPI. I changed the oil this morning and after half a kilometer, it just stopped going and the kick-start could not even move. After removing the cylinder head and looking for any signs of a seizure, there were none. I put everything back together and after making sure the pi...

I'm in a similar conundrum right now, no license or registration because I need an Out of Province Inspection and hadn't had any previous experience with scooters before. I learned how to ride it around the block and then put a "Student Driver" sign where the license plate should go. Made ...

In the end I'm sure you will be happier with the bench seat anyways and it looks the biz... http://scoot.net/gallery/bbs/3183784599_0f0e1a4d7d.jpg [/url] That does look quite class but is it just me or does that seat have a cover on that's making it a bit misshapen? I can almost see the outline of ...

It was nice to meet everyone today and thanks for helping me with my Sprint. Gonna go set up that inspection and order that head shroud and bench seat.

Would Top Gear be able to take care of all of this? Whenever I venture to their store there is no one around.

Thanks, I'm just wondering if CycleWorks would be able to touch up my bike and then perform an inspection, so that they know that the work put into it is good. I'll probably take off the fuel tank and clean it, as I'm pretty sure there is rust at the bottom.

Update

Right, I completely took apart my carb today, cleaned it, replaced the seals and changed the spark plug. Through this process, I learned that the "Off" position on my fuel rod doesn't do anything. Tire pump is the best source of compressed air if two people are present. But now it runs muc...

Sprint: The Storm Has Not Yet Passed

Hey, I got a 1968 Sprint 150 from Ontario before the winter really kicked in. It needed a new piston and cylinder quite badly, one of the circlips looked like it got out and did quite a bit of damage. I replaced the piston and cylinder and had my father clean out the carburetor and got it running. I...

WTB: Vintage Vespa (Sprint, SS, GL, GS, Primavera, etc.)

Hey, I've been looking for to purchase a vintage Vespa for over two years now but everything is out of my budget. I'd managed to save up $1,000 through a U of A internship, but as an unemployed high school student, finding more scratch is quite a challenge. If you are willing to part with your Vespa...
