lol i have the drt clutch basket and the screws/bolts sheared. you could always trying ordering from drt directly john. and i would go with an oko carb which is a keihin knock off and you can use keihin parts in them. I'm running a 28mm right now and i'm pretty happy with it, well as happy as a tink...

It's all a matched system and there is no free lunch.
i completely agree...it takes more than fast parts to make a scooter go fast. it takes some knowledge and some ability. lots of trial and error is involved too and you can't be afraid to break things too.

let me re phrase that, when the weather changes you may run a bit rich or lean but that's not a big deal, you are not at a high enough level of tune for the weather to make dramatic changes. I'm just running a foam filter now and it's fine, before that i wasn't running a filter at all.

not necessarily, it may not run optimally but it'll work, and yes it's just a matter of tuning or dialing it in

when i start a build i usually take the engine apart completely, match the cases to the ports on the cylinder. then match the intake port on the cylinder to the intake manifold, then raise the exhaust port and widen it to about 70% of the cylinder bore and match the exhaust port on the cylinder to t...

you'll probably have to re jet the carb, there's a lot of information on the web about this topic. tuning is not a simple of taking off a part and putting something on. it;s a lot more involved and some knowledge is required. anyways...here's a start: http://www.smellofdeath.com/lloydy/jetting.htm
