Just put 30 km on the Zündapp in the lull between rainy cold fronts today. Might be fuelling a bit lean judging from higher rpm response at the top of gears 1-3. Had it closing in on 80 km/h on Dallas Road, until a geriatric intervention occurred... and I learned that this German baby has excellent...

Just made a deal on this beauty! Pic attached. Trevor at Scooturismo in Dartmouth was great to deal with -- truly amazing service. Strongly recommended.

Scoots

Hi all, In rooting around for a scoot to use in Victoria I have found a few bikes that might be of interest to some members, even if they are not for me. Daaren at Benzina in Calgary has a couple of very interesting scoots for sale -- his shop bike, a P200 with a cast-iron 177, shiny black, very bos...

I think I will get JF at Scootart to go through an ugly old Li150 and send it out to me. Maybe I'll get him to install a big bore kit: Lambrettisti, which ones do you recommend? In the meanwhile, does anyone know this bike? Which "local shop" coukd have restored it? http://www.kijiji.ca/v-...

Thanks, John. It was his facebook page that started the idea. As you know, I like sleepers that don't look like much (well, I even like ugly, beat-up scooters) but go like the wind. Looks like JF understands that as well as the gorgeously painted bikes he usually puts out.

Scootart?

Hi all. Does anyone have any experience with JF at Scootart in Montreal? Having despaired of finding a decent traditional (manual shift 2-stroke) scooter on the west coast -- and I had high hopes of better selection in the bigger Vancouver market -- and having missed my chance at bringing one in fro...

Wow! Can't wait to see it in March. Glad you got that oilpan issue sorted, finally. I guess the appearance of further cracking *while sitting* at least makes the decision for you: it must be repainted. I hope you can negotiate something satisfactory. It makes me feel just a teeeensy bit better about...

Wow! And I thought it was annoying to have to maintain and repair licenced cars that are on the road!!! But seriously, it's good to have a soft break-in to identify all those little trouble spots, caused mainly (it seems to me, at least) by the vagaries of bespoke parts fitting together in this re-e...
