Rode the D to work today. Pulled the Groat Rd "hill" at 35 mph! Jetting is a bit odd on the D, largely due to the exhaust, I think. Sometimes too rich, sometimes to lean all with the same settings and conditions! My new needle is the wrong one, ordered E1, got E2. No, it's not just one better :-) I'll put the old E1 back in before the next ride.
Modified the spare tire mounting studs so I can mount the trailer. I think I'll be riding the "rig" this Sunday.
Quite fun to ride. The small wheels make 35 mph feel like 100 mph. Quite odd to be zooming along, hanging on for dear life and having all the other traffic overtaking you!
I think I might also bump up the timing a degree or two. Presently it is at 19°. Stock is 26° but I have raised the compression ratio dramatically. I'll try 21° and see if anything blows!
