Ride to Pigeon Lake!!!!

Post by Rick »

So after the last meeting it was decided that we should have other activities/rides that can consume our thoughts aside from the "Rally". I had suggested a Ride To Sylvan Lake for the day which is near Red Deer after talking to the Calgary guys. It was later decided that Sylvan might be a bit far but Pigeon Lake would be a good chance to test out those scoots on a longer ride seeings how not many of us have been on these longer rides. So The Saturday Aug.23 we will be attempting to journey South, Weather Permitting. We Ride up in the Morning, Hopefully we can grab something to eat and relax by the water for the afternoon and ride back at night before dark. I have no activities planned so it's a free for all as far as activities and what you want to do that day once you get there. I would like to see everyone ride together there and back incase we have mechanical issues etc. I would start to try and get a sense of who wants to do this. I know for myself I eventually want to go to Sylvan but I'll try Pigeon first to see. Let me know who is interested?????

I would like to go! I'm not sure what speed we would be travelling at but I'm not really comfortable going over 75km/hr yet so if you're planning on going at a higher speed I might have to reconsider coming to the lake that day.

No worries Mr. Rumsey, you can hang back with the old slow old school crowd.

Post this suggestion in Calgary's forum ASAP.

I might go, but I think I ought to work on something else.

I think I am in as well. I have drawn up a little schematic to install 4 way flashers on the ET4 so I can ride the "PLEASE DON'T HIT US" bike. Just have to get the bits installed now.

I was in, but now it looks like I won't be able to make it. I have too much work backed up after the Calgary Rally, and I need that Saturday to put some of it.

Maybe if the club decides it can handle the ride to Sylvan, I will hit that up.

Have fun folks, cheers.

Well it seems we might have a good turn out, I'm not part of Calgary Forums but if someone want to throw it out there then do it, I just figured Pigeon might be too far for them, if it was sylvan then that's different.
