Blown exhaust gasket !

Isaac rode up on the pk 50 sounding a lot louder than usual, it had lost one of the exhaust pipe nuts and most of the gasket .I dug into my parts bike box but the studs on that motor are smaller and the gasket does not fit, also it has a metal inner-ring . Does it need that metal ring or can i buy gasket material and make one ? Thanks graham.

The metal ring prevents the gasket from blowing out so it is a good idea. You can also forgo the gasket and just use some high temp silicon sealer: Permatex "Ultra Copper". Give it a day to cure and use vibration proof lock washers.
