Argh, colour choice again...

Post by jbcollier »

Still pulling my hair out over colour choice. Any thoughts on the below?

Carnival Red (the original colour of my car):

French Blue (original colour choice):

(But Janet doesn’t like it)

A blue that both Janet and I like:

CirrusWhite (original colour choice):

I enjoy the not-French blue. But the one pictured also has stripes, which makes it go like 30 knots faster.

While I like how they look, I don't want to fit "pull-me-over-I-must-be-doing-something-illegal" stripes.

If the OEM red is now down the list of favourites, then I like the darker blue the best.

The white makes it look to much like a 70's kitchen appliance...

Angelo, I laughed out loud: the Lotus Mixmaster!

I like the darker Janet-friendly blue. It looks a lot like the original dark blue on the Saab Sonett.

Red is asking for trouble -- and even worse, it makes a man of a certain age look like he wants to be a man of a different age...

That sure was a lot of fun Sunday. Next time, it's my turn to sit on the floor.

BTW, the red's not out. Janet likes it. The problem is my being over-exposed to red sports cars.

There's also the official Canadian race car colours back when cars raced in national colours before advertising took over:

White with a green stripe:

After the new flag, some raced in Red with a white stripe:

Both the Canadian racing colour versions are boss. The lighter racing green is kind of sober. Good road camo, however!
