Hi;
Yes I now have this 81 Yamaha XS850, and I am now sure what to do with it. I have learned that I am definitely a scooter guy. I rode motorcycles through the 80's but now I am older and wiser (and a big scardy cat).
My insurance girl said to keep it for a while (before they bill me) and I would love it, but who needs that much power in town, mind you my constant screaming should keep me safe.
Keep happy
Glenn
I traded my 83 Mascot 80 for a Midnight Special

My 850 (now a huge papperweight)
HI;
It started and seemed to work well for the first week (more or less) but when the buyer came to pick it up it would not start and has not started since, so I gave him his money back and now I am the (not so) proud owner of the worlds safest motorcycle,,,, unless it falls over on my toe.
So there it sits.
Dig the day

Ps. I go out there, put a quarter in the tank, make motorcycle noises and rock back and forth like one of those kiddie rides (not really, but it is a funny image).
