Sunday April 8 Ducati engine install help needed

Post by jbcollier »

Sunday April 8 we'll be reinstalling the engine back into Mike's Ducati. Mike is hale and hearty but I barely have enough working parts to make a good cripple. We'd greatly appreciate a few extra hands to help lever the lump into place.

Assuming it is sunny, glorious weather, we could meet at 10 am, fit the engine in place and then go for a ride.

This is at my place and the address is 8620 Saskatchewan Drive, just west of the faux traffic circle at the intersection of Groat Rd and 87th Ave. Bit tricky to find the first time so please use google-map if you have not been here before.

So far we have had good long-range forecasts with disappointing results so maybe the disappointing forecast will result in good weather!

Yes, I know I'm reaching...

I'll bring my riding gear AND cross-country skis. I'll be ready for whatever winter continues to bless us with.

Thanks in advance to you all for your assistance with the ongoing Ducati project.

As long as there’s heat in that garage, I’m all over this! It will be a good diversion from all the riding we aren’t doing :)

Sadly, I'll miss out.
I've got a refinery to fix, so when the snow clears, we'll have gasoline to fill our tanks for some good long rides.

I hope you've got enough hands Mike.

It all went very well indeed, thanks everyone! Mike's engine is back in place and 90% hooked up.

Great news on being near completion.

I'll bring some fresh gasoline, when we get the refinery up and running again.....in about six weeks.

It will be a real drag if you don’t get to ride for six weeks.

Thanks to the countless hours by John, the Sebring is running better than ever.

Tried to embed a photo of the beast, but Google Drive doesn't want to share. So you'll see it at one of the next coffee meet-ups... if warmer weather ever arrives.

Thanks John!

I haven't felt like I've been missing out on riding yet. But, there's a big change in the air....
I may only miss out on 3 or 4 weeks of riding now. 😖
