Just saying hi

Post by LibertineAudrey »

Just a bit of an introduction, I guess. My name is Audrey, I've just bought my first scooter this week. I'm looking forward to meeting some people in Edmonton + Area who might like to meet for rides, and show me some tips and tricks. I'm quite new to the whole thing, so for now I'll just be practicing around home, but I don't think it should be too long before I'm ready for a little more.

I'd also love anyone's suggestions for sites or other forums on the internet involving scooters or Vespa.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a nice spring so far.

Cheers

Hey Audrey,
Great that you took the time to send a quick introduction. Looking forward to meeting you soon on one of our Sunday rides. I believe that our next club meeting is this next Sunday coming up. It would be great if you could make it out and say hello! I think you will find that we are a good group of people always ready to welcome a new comer.

What kind of scooter did you get?

Cheers

I would love to stop in and say hi to everyone this Sunday. Unfortunetly, I won't be ready to ride by then, but I'd still like to come meet some people.

I bought a black Vespa GTS250 and I'm absolutely in love with it. ^_^

We meet monthly during the winter. The first Sunday of the month, 10:30 a.m. at Tra Amici (95 St and 108 Ave ish).

Look forward to seeing you there.

Audrey......It's okay if you don't ride, come on down! Unless the forcast changes, not many will be riding as they are calling for snow on Sunday!

Hi Audrey,

Welcome to the forum. You've picked a good group to contact regarding scootering. Like you I'm also new to the scooter scene and the folks at Crude City have been wonderful. I wish I was as lucky as you and could practice my riding right now, but alas I have to wait until my scoot arrives from Kelowna. (Rumor has it that it might be in Calgary next weekend. Keep your fingers crossed. :D )

A few years ago this is how my spring started! I have an amazing wife to allow me to build my first scooter in the spare bedroom!

Hey thanks! It was really great meeting you all. I'm thrilled to know that you're all helpful, because I'm sure I'll have question after question... (after question, after question, after question...).

I can't wait until I'm confident enough to take my ride off of the back roads around home and hit something a little more public so I can come and ride with you all. Speaking of which, what's up with the layer of snow this morning? Yeesh.

Cheers 8)
