Sunday April 29th

Post by Angelo »

Some of us are planning to be at Tra Amici this Sunday at 1.00pm. Depending on the weather and the interest there could be a ride after.

Cheers

There is supposed to be a bit of weather Sunday, but, as long as it isn't fire and brimstone, I 'll be there.

Unless someone with a licence wants to escort me from ardrossan and back, I won't be riding. But I'll probably stop by and say hi.

cheers

Dang, dang, dang, dang!

I can't go on Sunday. My son's soccer team's first practice is scheduled for this Sunday at 1:30. They told us today.

Dang, dang, dang, dang!

Have fun.

Sigh, a Sunday ride and I can't go. I'll be thinking of you guys while I'm at my motorcycle course.

Have fun on the ride!

Made it out for ten minutes. Nice to see Bruce and Tia.

I also succeeded in quiting the beast. The muffler's original packing was far too tight, effectively turning it into a straight pipe. Out with the old and in with loose fibrglass packing and, while not exactly quiet, the sharp, rasp-like, motocross edginess is gone. Whew!

Hey John,
I guess we just missed you. Earlier I stopped by Igors place and helped him to adjust his rear brake on the P, followed by stripping his Lambretta fronk forks of the links and springs as he is ready to send the Frame and bits to the blasters. On the way we stopped and checked out Damien's new addition to the family. A series 2 lambretta. Looks great but he is having electrical woes...

I had issues with my Lammy today. It just wouldn't hold an Idle if my life depended on it. I got home and pulled the carb, stripped it and cleaned it. You would be amazed how much gunk builds up in 1 year. Now the Lammy is running great. I managed to get a few blasts around the block before the rains came.

Glad to hear that your noises issues have been addressed now I can finally sleep in :0)

take care

BTW Trevor sends his regards, read below

"Doing that army thing for a few weeks. You know, sleeping in tents,
carrying guns, all that good stuff. Missing the riding...damn."

We will have to organize a ride when he gets back from wainwright so that he can get some riding in..

Hi Angelo,

Sorry I missed you. Does the Lammy have an inline fuel filter? They are a good idea considering the age of our fuel tanks. Motorcycle shops sell ones that are quite small. I have one on the Duck.

Hey John,
No fuel filter. I have heard mixed reviews on the use of them on Lambretta's so I have shy'd away from them, but you know after seeing all the crude build up in less than one year, I'm now thinking to go with one. Since I switched to a high flow fuel tap a few years ago, I don't think that fuel starvation will be a problem.....at least not on this one..

They are cheap so you can change them often. I don't have one on my BMW outfit as the tank is clean. The Duck has a hand fabricated tank and there was a lot of flash and debris in there. I cleaned it out as best as possible but a frequently changed filter seemed a good insurance policy.
