I have to swap over to winter tyres on the various vehicles. Smart cars NEED winter tyres. I may be able to pop by though. Chinotto still sings its siren call.

Hi all

Uh yeah...not happening here. This was the scene as of 12:30 today. Helmet is put away. The jackets are hung up and all two wheeled vehicles are stowed. Some more comfortably than others.

Make sure you either completely drain your tank and carb, or use fuel stabilizer. If you use fuel stabilizer run the engine for a bit so it gets into the carb as well.

Your last ride on a four stroke scoot should be a long one so the oil gets good and hot. That way all the water in the oil will evaporate off. I prefer to do a fresh oil change just as I put four strokes away. That gets rid of all the acids that can build up in old oil.

Finally remove the spark plug (two or four stroke) and put a couple of squirts of mix oil, engine oil or automatic transmission fluid (no wonder sprays like WD-40 and what not). Kick the engine over once lightly and put the plug back in.

Remember your first start of the season will be smokey so do it outside.
