Sobering thoughts...

Post by jbcollier »

I am just finished totalling up my bills for my smallframe. As you know it is pretty radically modified from stock. The total came to $7500. The only labour included is body shop labour. No labour for assembling. The engine parts alone came to $2500!!

So:

When was the last time you updated your appraisals?

You do have your scoot appraised don't you?!!

Does your insurance company know what it is worth?!!

Would you be happy with $800 if it was stolen?

...the first time that I totalled all my bills together for my First lambretta when it was complete and on the road I just about fell over. OMG....good thing that at the time we were D.I.N.K's and although the total was more than I expected it didn't cut into anyones education funds......the first thing I did the very next day was call and have it appraised. I felt alot better knowing that I was protected......

I'm thinking of even insuring the parts for my next project until I get it together.
