Better a short ride than none! I would be in favour of some Wednesday evening rides, though I will be in Edmonton only three or four weeks this summer.

Who feels like braving the gravel, grit and sand this Sunday?

It's gravelly -- there's an inch of the stuff on Groat in the right-hand lane heading downhill from the roundabout at the west end of 87th Ave., across from JC's house.

Great news! Again, I have to say I would rather have been in grimy old Edmonton than on Salt Spring for at least ONE day...

Johnny Redbike and I inspected repairs to the new bridge from both sides and risked the gravel to ride out to that new cafe in the Crestwood Plaza on 142 Street, where the coffee was good -- but we were both younger than anyone else in there except the baristas.
