Thanks for the tips and offers everyone. My roommate told me the cable looked exactly like a bicycle shifter cable so I went and grabbed one from United Cycle. Works 100%, actually I find it better than the stock one. A bigger fitting on the end and a little thicker cable. $3.99 and I'm rolling again!
