The plug should be:

Bosch - W5CC

NGK - B7ES

gap 0.6 mm or 0.024"

Spent a good part of the afternoon trying to find a Bosch spark plug locally, without success. Am I missing something obvious here? Bosch.ca was particularly unhelpful.

I did speak to someone in parts at Echo who said that the NGK B7ES was an older plug and not commonly stocked. He went on to say that the current manufacture added a resistor to cut down on RFI but that the plug was otherwise exactly the same, except that it is widely available. Sound reasonable?

Yep, I've bought B7ES from Canadian Tire before. About $7.50 for two plugs.

And they're even gapped to spec! I had a meeting at the University this morning and so it was easy to swing by. Again, where can I source these locally so I can replace...

Don't worry about it until the scoots up and running!

It has occurred to me that you should always look at the last thing we did which was the fuel tap. There wasn't much fuel remaining. Remove the hose off the carb, turn the tap on and see if anything flows out. If not, try different tap positions. Still not, fill the tank up.

Oh it's running. New plug made a difference. It vibrates a bit more than it did but it is not uncomfortable to ride. Fuel tap seems to be working fine and I love the "click" it makes between positions. Should I just add Bosch plugs to my (inevitable) next order, or ...?

The increased vibration is due to the new engine mounts. No worries about the plugs: use them for good not for evil and I'll be happy.
