Question ....

This soon to be new owner of Tikianna is wondering where one is able to get 2 stroke oil locally? Also what brand should I be using? (No scented stuff as it smells of ick, please.) I suspect I will also need a measuring cup, but I'm assuming most motorcycle shops would carry those.

Alberta Cycle sells Motul Scooter Power 2t oil. It's 100% synthetic. That's what I use. I've also heard that Motul 710 is a very good synthetic 2t oil to run. Motul Scooter Expert is not fully synthetic, I think this is what Top Gear used to sell. Could be wrong.

Every motorcycle/snowmobike shop sells 2 stroke oil. Also Canadian Tire and all stores that also sell lawn and garden equipment.

I would recommend fully synthetic, motorcycle/scooter specific oil. It's not cheap but it burns cleaner, produces less smoke and provides better protection. I use Amsoil racing and have always been happy with its performance. I bought mine from Cycle Works on 75 St and 51-ish Ave.

In short, just walk into your nearest motorcycle shop and buy whatever fully synthetic two stroke oil they offer.
