cylinder head machining

Post by big 3 »

Does anyone hear know a good local machine shop that will work on heads, i am ordering a new cylinder for my PK 50 automatica, unfortunately the kit doesn't come with a head, and i need to machine the stock one out to 48 mm, any help would be appreciated

Cycle Works on Parsons Rd and 75 St has a full machine shop and, more importantly, knows what they are doing. Bring the cylinder and piston along so they fit it exactly.

Remember that using a head from a smaller engine gives a higher compression ratio.

thanks for the info man, this pk 50 automatic was built in such small numbers that it is impossible to find parts, but SIP recommends using the stock head with the pinasco cylinder, or maybe it is the only option
