Hi John! And, others.....
It's been a busy summer.....well all the hard work you did on the derbi is for not. My own fault. I waited to long to put in that second bolt and by the time I was able to bend the pipe ( prob a mistake the way I did it) and sorta got in a second bolt, (as well as a bracket later) it was a disaster awaiting. So yesterday along the Yellowhead my muffler and part of the pipe just in front steered off and found a new home. Biggest question I have is aside from a potential ticket from police for a very loud scooter, how much damage to the engine will it do if I tried to ride out the season as I won't be able to fix it or replace it this year? And yes, I know the performance would be effected as well but just wondering about actual damage, aside from to my hearing.....

Nah, no bits. Somewhere on the Yellowhead, I suppose I could try to go back for it but I finally drove by this aft- too dangerous to stop and it looked pretty smattered on the road. I actually had it semi together but then one of the bolts sheered off then it all went on a bump. In hindsight, probably hitting it with a hammer when it was hot to join up that second bolt was ill-advised. Shoulda consulted or listened to the girlfriend on that one. I will see if I can order the parts, if not I might sell it off and set my eyes on something else next year.

Yeah your right lol. Soon after putting on the post I left again for the Yellowhead - on my way now to look for the bits lol. I have my inspiration back....i will be good and leave her in the shed till I figure out the exhaust. May need to drill out and RE thread the holes but I think that will be minor.
