Help! Vespa debacle

Folks, I could really use your advice.
I hope this is not a violation of forum protocol. But I'm in a bit of a bind.
My 2006 GTS 250 is at Alberta Cycle for repairs They say they can't fix it.
Over the winter, someone tried to steal it from my underground. They must have jammed a screwdriver into the ignition and damaged it beyond repair.
So I got it to Alberta Cycle -- that was an adventure, as the steering is locked -- and was eventually told it can't be fixed. Yes, they can order the ignition parts. But the panel that houses the ignition is no longer available.
My options are to give it away, junk it or get some talented scooterist to fix it, obviously at my cost.
Thoughts? Advice?

Thanks for the time you took to dig that up.
I haven't been able to get out to Alberta Cycle to see it.
But it is a tribute to this community that John stepped up and has offered to work on my scoot.
Thanks to anyone who read this. My hope is to be back on my Vespa next season and joining you in your rides and rallies.

All fixed now. I'm genuinely puzzled as to why Alberta Cycle said it couldn't be fixed. The lock housing was fine and all the other parts Scooter West had in stock. The only pain in the petula was that you have to drop the steering column to fit the new lock cam. After that it was all straight forward.

Scott still had his brown key, that goodness. I was able to transfer that transponder to a new brown key and program the new blue key to suit. With no brown key I would have had to change the ECU/throttle body for, cough, $1250 -- ouch!!

Keep your brown key in a safe place!
