So Tracey and I decided to check out A Taste of Edmonton tonight. I went to park the scooter along side of Rice Howard Way in between the flower beds. The spot I chose was behind a big mini van. I decided that he probably wouldn't see me and end up backing into my parked scooter so I moved one flower bed ahead and parked behind a nice small car that had lots of room to pull forward and out of the parking area. Well when I got back to the scooter it was still upright, but with a note attatched saying sorry he didn't see the scooter and to call him. Well, I called him when I got home and surprise surprise...the number is not in service.
Why even bother leaving a number or a note? Some people. Well at least he put the scooter back upright. So I am left with a couple big dents in the upper part of left side of the bike just under the seat, and some wicked curvy scratches and scraps...
Sigh.

At that point, he/she should've just left a note that read:
"Everyone saw me hit your scooter, and they think that I'm doing the right thing by leaving my information, but I'm really just leaving you this note to say NER NER"
Seriously though, sorry to hear about the damage to your scooter. Maybe karma will take care of it at a later date. :\

All hail Emperor Kang!
What a pain. I suspect that a bit of drinking might have been a factor as well. It is amazing how many scooters get knocked or pushed over when parked.
The City Centre parkade has a motorcycle only section on the ground floor in the centre of the exit spiral. I think it is $5 to park all day. I don't know how late it is open though.

That's a shitty deal man. I make a point when I park my scoot somewhere where that might happen. I always carry a piece of paper and pen in my pocket and write down license plates around me. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but hey even using you camera on your phone is a quick way to protect parking stuff. Just a suggestion. Hope things work out for ya.
Side note: After seeing numerous traffic violations like turning right from left hand turning lane right in front of me I have decided to invest in the contour HD helmet cam. Very small and full HD all in one riding cam. Next time some asshole decides to pull some shit like that on me I'll be taking my card into Police station. See you in court beeaatch. lol

Helmet Camera
Rick,
Let me know where to buy that helmet cam, or a website where I can learn more about it.
Thanks,
James
