Spring is in the air

Post by coyoteran »

There are a few certain signs of spring. The first robin. Crocus flowers. Old people congregating around pop up green houses. I would like to add this as a sure fire sign that spring is in the air.

Scooterists emerging blinking from poorly lit garages, smelling slightly of old gasoline and two stroke oil, kicking the gravel in the corners around their house deep into the gutters, sniffing the wind for the feel of a cold front and eyeing the horizon for a lingering winter storm cloud.

I would like to nominate this as the current baseline observation for the coming of spring. Comments welcome.

Win: Less clothing layers are involved, consequentially less laundry to do.

Lose: Forgot to buy windshield washer fluid, threw crystal light on the window while driving. Majority ended up in my lap.
