Workshop at Audrey's place!!

Post by jbcollier »

This Sunday, March 18, there will be a workshop and Audrey's place near Cooking Lake -- I leave her to explain how to get there. I'll be there at 10 a.m.

We'll be putting her P200 engine back together and servicing it -- cables and other things I can't remember. We'll also be changing the voltage regulator in her GTS, and, I hope the rollers in the variator -- I think I have those still, right?

Anyway, lots work to go round and any, and all, help would be appreciated!

I'll also be providing lunch and treats and beverages for anyone kind enough to come out and help John.

(You do have the rollers, I think, yes. You also have a spark plug for my P200, I hope.)

I need some help with tires and shocks on the P200, too! o_O

Great! Yes David, you can be in charge of tires, as long as the site foreman (John) allows it.

If anyone is planning on coming, please let me know! PM me for directions if you need them.

Snacks and lunch, yo!

I'd love to come out and help, but unfortunately I'm in Calgary for a conference that day. Next time.

Hey gang.
I would like to come out to the workshop on Sunday if that's OK.
I know I am like the new keener but thought it would be good to meet some fellow scooter enthusiasts, and I might even be of some help with the mechanical aspects of the day.
I am a lets say retired mechanic and do all my own scooter repairs.
Any who, PM me with directions and I will be there.

Hi Gord,

Give me a shout in the morning, say 9:30 a.m. My home number is seven/eight/zero/four/three/three/one/two/seven/zero

Woo Hoo!

We have another mechanic in our club! Gord is an ex-mechanic and did a fine job of replacing the voltage regulator on the GTS -- a bit of a nasty job I might add.

Thanks to everyone who turned up. Everyone helped and we got a lot of work done quickly. We changed the voltage reg, rollers and guides on the GTS, and overhauled the carb and replaced tires and shocks on Sparkle Motion. Unfortunately, the cylinder head also needs replacing as it was machined at one time or another so we'll have to wait to get the top end back together.

The GTS may have a wonky idle air valve but we'll check that out later if it still stalls at idle when cold.

THANKS EVERYONE
