I am picking up the rest of the painted parts tomorrow.
Woo Hoo!
It all looks gorgeous and I just love the colour: absolutely perfect. I have set in motion a last minute flurry of ordering to get the remaining bits and bobs here as soon as possible.
I'll have some machining to do to fit a 125DL head to the engine and then that will be finally done.
There's the exhaust to sort as well. I am dithering over three options:
- adapt a Sito+ from a P150 (moderately straight forwardish)
http://www.newtoyouhomes.com/hoppedup.html
- fit a modern expansion chamber (major mods and would probably look odd)
--no photos, have to imagine it all up --
and a vintage (beautiful but useless) performance exhaust.

-- would need a new pipe made up --
Watcha think?

I would go with the last option. It is fitting with the whole Lambretta motif.jbcollier wrote:I am picking up the rest of the painted parts tomorrow.

Vy is it vee get too soon olt and too late schmart?
Good thinking though the Sito+, as it is modded in the link, results in too long a primary pipe. That's why the used stock pipe he mounts later on has more torque but the Sito+ gives the bigger top end hit. I think I might be able to mod mine so the primary pipe is shorter. We'll see.
I really like the vintage pipe's looks but it wouldn't perform any better than a stock muffler -- good repos of which are now available again -- and would end up where a passenger's leg might get fried.
I'll have a spare expansion chamber once I have mounted the Hammerzombie on Crushed.
So, reluctantly, I'll discard the Abarth repo and wait until the scoot's together for a final decision.
There is also this one:

Though I am not so keen on it's looks and the primary pipe is too long.
Fun, fun, fun...

The Chrome pipes Definitely look the Biz, there is no doubt about that, tuff call but I agree it is a good idea to wait for the final decision. I must have changed my mind 20 times, and as you know The decision making is not over as the Exhaust will once again be changed on lefty...
