You can make an OPI go smoothly by following a few simple steps.
- make sure EVERYTHING works: no excuses, no "If you wiggle it this way." If it doesn't work, don't schedule an OPI.
- make sure everything is tight: double check every fastener. Even once loose bolt will make them have to check further and disassemble more.
- they have to measure brake linings, etc so make it easy for them by taking photos of the new brakes assembled before the drum goes on. Also bring your receipts showing you purchased new linings and wheel bearings. Also photograph the drum surface so they can see it's not scored or worn. They will appreciate this and your freshly painted scoot won't end up scratched.
- right after an OPI, go to the registry office and get it recorded. You only have a limited time after the OPI is completed. Wait too long and you have to do it again, and pay for it again.
- be nice, don't rush them and thank them profusely: OPIs are a pain for them as well.
