Hawaii, with The Young Canadians

Post by david »

When we are all ready to hire a barge to transport our Scoots to The Big Island for a meet at The Kona Inn and an amazing ride to follow, I think we should drag these guys out of retirement to get us in the mood :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KNUnLaRekg

I think 20' containers sail every 2 weeks from the coast (Seattle-Portland area) to Hawaii approx $5000

I think sailing time is 10 to 12 days.

Who's in?

YEAH Kevin! Is there anything that you don't know? How sweet would it be to ride around The Big Island? I think John is game, Graham and Chris are always up for an adventure. A few more people and we are good to go. How about The Young Canadians, shall we drag them along with us? It would be a nostalgic throwback to my youth 8) , though they may offend one or two people , sorry about that.

There are PILES and PILES of stuff i have no knowledge of. Trust me on that one. For example seagull migration, what fish species are suited for salt water aquariums or the average length of a tube sock.

The only advantage i have over most is, "The Internet". And, i don't watch TV. Don't tell to many people, it makes me look geeky.

There, you proved me right. Who knew that seagulls migrate? So, do they migrate from dump to dump? BTW my geeky friend, I shall exercise discretion with regards to your interests and habits. No one shall know

I love the Hawaii idea, always wanted to strap a surfboard to my bike. Went to Maui 2 years ago. I would love to take the North Road around the island to Hanna again except in a scoot. Cars are a bit big for that road. tons of quain little local villages and awesome scenery to view, best scenic and windy up and down roads I can think of. Most of the time your on the edge of the cliffs. If anyone has travelled that road they know what I'm talking about. Anyways my 2 bits.
(also no helmets required to ride in hawaii, do this at your own caution of course)
