"D"lightful "D"saster

Post by jbcollier »

Wow, what a gorgeous day and what a marvelous ride! The ride was beautiful managed so that we hardly had to stop at all. Great fun. The D ran like a champ though I was, and still am, fiddling with the jetting.

Alas, at a four way stop we were going through, I thought the rider in front was rolling through, but, he didn't. My bad entirely and I dodged to the side and "almost" completely missed him. The roll bar on the PAv clipped his left cowl and took out his signal light lens. Ouch. Thankfully Daaren will sort him out and send me the bill.

Off we go again and at the next stop I notice the rear of the D frame had cracked!! I take off the PAv and put it in Erin's car and off I go again. Two blocks later, the cracked section breaks clean off and drops onto the rear tire! Wonderful Calgarians to the rescue again and a couple of bungee cords magically appear to hold everything up and in place.

What can I say, the best and the worst ride ever! At least I won't be bored with nothing to do this winter...

Oh no! I'm glad you are safe and had a good rally. Poor D.
