After a winter of peace and quiet on the streets...

Post by jbcollier »

the reign of Terror starts again!

Crushed fired up after 4 kicks and settled in a steady idle immediately. I haven't run it on the road yet and I think the new clutch might be a real pain!.Hopefully it will break-in.

Whew!

Excellent news John. Take it easy until it is broken in (who am I kidding?)

Love the new look!

Cheers

I am absolutely delighted!

-- well except where the air filter flew off on the first ride. My bad as I had it off and on for various reasons and forgot to tighten it on the last "on" --

It just flies. Huge bottom end stomp and pulls cleanly up the range. It will probably not go any faster as I changed the Xmas tree gear to a DRT one that reduces the distance between 3rd and 4th so 4th is a little lower now. Nice to be going up the hill to my place in fourth at a 100 kph and it's still accelerating!!

The ss90 headset has really calmed down the front end. Nailed a 90 kph Groat with plenty of room for more. Before it would feel twitchy and flighty and fill one with fear and dread. Now there's a lot more front end feel which inspires (foolish?) confidence.

What can I say?

I didn't smoke him/her, I scared him/her. She/he still did me in.

Either way it was a fun story.

I hope you plan on keeping the mirrors, I'm not sure who in the group will be able to keep up
