Scooter Headlight Bulbs

Post by nick »

Does anyone know where a person could source a 35w H4 Halogen bulb locally? Sometimes known as a "scooter" bulb? I need one for the Honda as the stator cant put out enough juice to maintain a 55w H4.. The bulbs are originally for scooters so I figured I'd put this in here.. I've been using 55w bulbs in my Derbi.. I have a feeling its probably struggling to keep those running as well..

It uses a H4 base, which isn't much help. However, I have eight or ten of the 35w H4s downstairs as that is what I use in the Duck. You would be welcome to one. Just replace it at your convenience.

Would you like me to slip one in my mailbox?

Hey John,
Thanks, I ordered a couple because I needed to get a couple carb kits anyways.
Carbs are fairly out of sync at the moment, right side is lean.. Left side is rich(clogged filter?)/fairly fouled. Ignition timing is also partially out. Left is proper, right is slightly retarded. Going to sort that out before I pull the carbs off.
