Club Workshop Sunday January 20

Post by jbcollier »

Hi Everyone,

We will be having a club workshop on Sunday Jan. 20, 10 a.m. at my work place (12116 - 121a St). We will be changing the crank seals on David's Lambretta.

Anything else David?

Lets hope that is the only big job to do, as there are no other issues that I'm aware of.
I have some new bearings "just in case"; rear hub, drive side, clutch needle roller bearings, ect. Also, new clutch plates and a Jockeys top chain tensioner, and some other bits and bobs.

Sorry Guys, something has come up and I can't help you with the rebuild / refresh of David's motor.

I will drop off the tools and saw horses around 9.30am, Hopefully they will help make things run more efficent.

David, I don't have a spare sliding dog. I will keep looking to see if I can locate my shim, but I'm pretty sure I only have a "standard"? stock shim. The larger one that I bought I used on lefty.

Cheers

I should be there by 9:30 though perhaps 9:45 to be safe.

Hi Angelo,

We'll be fine without your tools. David/Graham has a rear hub puller. I'm pretty sure I have a flywheel puller and we can improvise a clutch compressor. So don't go out of your way.

Thank-you for looking Angelo, sorry that you can't make it.
I guess we will only need 1/2 dozen doughnuts now :P

Shall do John.

Graham has a clutch compressor, rear hub puller, and will bring some other tools as well.

One step forward and two steps back. David also needs a thicker gearbox shim and a new shift cruciform. Graham came with his new (to him) tools in tow and he has all sorts of cool factory Lambretta tools. Neat. RB John caught a few things and cleaned like a champ.

Thanks!
