Sunday garage workshop

Post by Kevin »

Met up with Raz, Marrisa and Paul today.

Marrisas' small frame had a shifting problem. Only one gear seemed to be available.

We took a look at the gear selector and cables and the problem was soon found. One of the nipple screws had somehow twisted right around 180 degrees. (i think the previous owner installed it upside down) and the second nipple screw had twisted and got cocked into the selector bar. Which then jammed into the engine casings not letting the selector shift properly.

After a bit of coaxing Raz and I got the nipple out and fixed it up so it wouldn't get cocked in the selector anymore. We also rotated the second one the right away around. We also took the front head light out and inspected. The cables and mechs all seem to be in order at that end.

Marrisa took it around the block a few times and gave it thumbs up.

A little bit of gold flake paint and all is well with the world.

Man, it feels like i've been away from scoots for way too long this year. I got to mend this problem of mine.

What is this scooter thing you speak about?

Missed you too Kevin, missed everyone this summer.
