Ideas?

A friend of mine is having challenges with her scoot. She and her husband are out of ideas. Here is what she posted.

"Changed needle. Changed float. Carb on my ET3 is spurting gasoline out of where the air filter goes. Thoughts?"

Any advice?

Is the spurting a mist or more squirty?

Rotary pad is toast and the engine is blowing back out the carb. Might be fixable or they could fit a reed valve intake manifold. Local?
