Sunday July 14

Post by jbcollier »

I'm at my third all nighter in a row but I figure to be fully recovered by Sunday. My darling wife and son, god bless'em, have booked my Sunday afternoon, so I'm free in the morning only. We talked about riding to the Alberta Hospital area and that sounds fine by me though I'm not sure it's a good idea to get that close to where our nearest and dearest think we really belong!

Anyhow, that's out the norh-east end so why not meet at the downtown Italian Centre at 10?

Or...?

Take your time Andrew. Weather outlook is for rain on both Sunday and Monday!

Good! I'll need very heavy rain indeed to keep from falling asleep. My goodness, I feel awful...

Well, there's a reason I felt awful. I have a temperature and shivered and sweated last night away. Sorry, I won't be out today.

Weather's the pits. Not going to ride today. Feel better, JC.

Sorry to hear John. Stay warm. Get better.

Still showing up Johnny? I'm here with David. Rode and stayed dry.

I hope you are feeling better, John!

The Kootenays are such great driving territory; I wished a thousand times that I was on a bike running down from Revelstoke to Nelson. But I certainly was glad we were on four wheels last night: hit Red Deer after a week of sunshine on the other side of the Rockies, and it rained like mad for a full hour and a half, all the way to Edmonton. Some of the worst driving I have seen. Bad re-entry... and then it's off with my wife to the Island this Thursday, on four wheels again...

I look forward to some August rides!
