Sorry I missed
Sorry i missed, but on the upside I passed my road test the same morning, and then got a parking ticket (warning) in the afternoon. Sounds like a lot of shananigans going on with the scooter crowd, what's next, driving side by side backwards? Good to keep the boys in blue entertained.
Evening rides sound good to me. Next time I see you all wouldn't mind getting some perspective on my front wheel if anyone has a minute to ride my scooter (the derbi). When braking although it is stopping just fine, it feels "chunky". I know I need to find the manual and take a look to get a guess as to if it's the pads or something else but short on time with lots going on and limited mechanical know how would appreciate the advice.
Shannon-I picked up a large derbi windscreen, it doesn't fit my mirrors so will have to sell it back or get new mirrors/modify it somehow. If your interested in it let me know.

I have a copy of the Derbi manual (curtesy of Shannon). You would be welcome to borrow it. Windscreens are easily modified or cut down with a hacksaw/dremel. With a heat gun, you can change their shape as well.
First thing on the front hub is to dismantle it and check the lining. Lightly sand the linings and drum to a clean fresh surface and give it a try.

K, thanks. I should have it too, somewhere. It's the attachment bolts that don't fit on the screen, as the mirror stems on mine are larger than the guy I bought it from, but I will figure a way. I may be able to buy new bolts or something down the road when I get to it, if I do.
Okay-thanks re: hub. I will do that-seems easy enough! (he says).
