Help...
I keep getting told different info.....I have a 50cc scooter that can go 75km/hr. Do I need a class 6 motorcycle license or not. Can someone please clear this up for me?

My understanding is that you now require a motorcycle license for all scooters and motorbikes including 50 (49) cc scooters regardless of how fast it can go.
This is a recent change to the law which allowed you to operate a 50 with only a learner's permit.

Yup, looks like they finally got around to changing the law, I knew it was coming but didn't know when. They have reclassed it to read
Class 7 Licence permits an operator to drive:
a moped
a motor vehicle referred to in the Class 5 category, as a learner only
a motorcycle, as a learner only, if the operator is at least 16 years of age
The minimum learning or licencing age is 14.
Requirements: written test and vision screening.
So now unless it is actually a moped (2 wheel motorized vechicle with pedals) you need a class 6.
