Old age and senility

Post by coyoteran »

Have finally taken their toll. As it turns out, there is a Harbor Freight shop here in the springs. That would be the company that makes the motorcycle lifts that Princess Auto sells. I stopped in there today and treated myself to a late Thanksgiving/early Christmas present in the form of an air actuated hydraulic motorcycle lift.

No more lying on the cold cold ground for this cowboy. No pumping madly away on a foot pedal to lift 700lbs of Yeti off the ground although that option is available. Click to the air compressor, push a button and up she comes. Yay me.

I asked Charlene, "If you knew back in 1992, what toll this hobby (obsession?) would take both financially and in terms of space and time, when I asked if I could buy that 1978 XL175, would you still have said yes?" She just slowly shook her head and stared out the window. Perhaps it is best if I don't pursue that line of questioning again.

Keep em shiny folks

Hey Dude....great news, life has improved and you will never look back, I honestly don't think I could get by without mine now.

I know how you feel about the "questions" that should be avoided. I have a long list that I would glady share to maybe avoid the blank stares and shaking heads in the future and I would Graciously accept any that I may have not come across in the past. My my list begins with " what's the matter?"

Some people is born stupid and stay that way: I have one ands it's buried in the back of the garage so I still end up working on the ground. Don't be a lazy bunt like me. Use it and Congrats!
