... thankfully, though completely mystifying, my baby loves me and does more me right than I deserve. And, the dog and the truck are just fine -- or woud be if I had either.
However:
- wrong input cluster in Crushed. Engine has to come apart and the original put back in.
- the Volvo was sideswiped on Groat Rd Monday morning: not my fault, no one was hurt, thankfully, but it ain't pretty folks.
Ugh!
Saturday, I will be stripping the engine at home and refitting the original cluster as, otherwise, I do not have a suitable vehicle to drive off the High Level Bridge and end my misery.
You're welcome to pop by and help or heap further scorn on my blighted existance.
Oh my goodness John. I'm so glad you are safe and no one was hurt.
What time are you starting on Saturday? I have some errands to run tomorrow, but I could swing by with a cold beverage or two and watch/pass you tools.

I'll probably start on it again by 9:30 and then it's go until it's done, or I run into a brick wall (incorrect cluster just might have toasted the fourth gear).
Either way, I riding tomorrow. Yippee!!
See, having too many scoots and bikes is a very good thing
Damn. John really sorry to hear about the troubles, I am thankfully though that you are safe and relatively sound. I'll be on that side of town tomorrow and will swinging by....

Stripped her down and I'm on the way back together. Fourth was fine, whew. Had to improvise a bit and use 2x4s and the weight of the Volvo as a press. Worked like a treat.
*insert sheepish smile* I haven't started it up since I brought it back from your place. (Life has been way too busy.) I'm hoping to go for a ride out to my mom's tomorrow.
