Lotus moving day

Post by jbcollier »

Would anyone be able to lend me a hand getting the Lotus home? I'd be very grateful for extra hands and truck/van/trailer/what-have-you. I am hoping to go and get it on Thursday evening 7 p.m., help dependant.

I don't think my trailer is large enough though the Lotus will weigh next to nothing (compared to a regular car, not a scooter). Perhaps I could use lumber to get up over the wheels and strap it down tight...

Am I crazy?

No wait. Let me rephrase that question.

Is my thinking I might be able to use my trailer crazy?

My Jeep is plenty to tow that with.

I've got access to some ludicrous trailers. Way too big for a scoot or bike, but just nice for your car i think.

Would 16 feet be enough car and parts?

If nothing else comes through, you are welcome to the use of my truck and strong back.

16 feet would be marvellous, thanks Kevin!

It would be great to have your truck as well, Audrey, to throw in the bumpers and other longish what-not.

Thanks John, and thankfully all the Lotus stuff is light!

Is it the place in Sherwood Park that we rode to? If so, Nick and I will meet the group there unless needed elsewhere.

Thanks Everyone.

No worries Angelo.

Next week a Renault 17 Gordini is being delivered to work where it will be lobotomized for it's engine and tranny. The remains will then be unceremoniously disposed of, tough being not quite sporty enough.

I think I can make it. Do you have enough vehicles to transport all the parts ect.? I can bring mine if needed, other wise I'll ride my MC.

I'll be picking up the trailer between 5 and 6 then making my way to John's place.
