11°C this Sunday! (Nov 4)

Post by jbcollier »

So far the forecast is for warm weather Sunday. Unfortunately I have a soccer game but I free-ish until 3. We could meet a little earlier, say 10?

For those of us who have no insurance, I have a scoot or two to spare.

Sunday

Sounds like a plan--that kind of weather is too good not to ride!

I've been watching scooters all over Montreal while here. All modern and haven't seen a single vintage. If we can ride on Sunday I'm there! Fly back tomorrow afternoon.

Our "+11" has turned into a "+5" and I doubt the ice and snow will be in any way gone from the roads. If the week stays warm, maybe next Sunday.

This weekend I'll be working on one of Andrew's vehicles. We'll be starting on Saturday and, hopefully, finishing on Sunday. Any and all would be welcome to stop by and lend a hand.

Cheers

Ice, ice, ice... and snow.

It would have to be 30 degrees on Saturday to ride Sunday! Let's just hope the snow melts enough next week that we get one more kick at the can before we have to give it all up for the winter.

Weekend Volvo Follies here we come-- !

Get well, Angelo - colds are the worst - not enough to put you in bed, just bad enough to make you feel like 100% crappola!

Looking at the forecast, I think the riding season is officially over, sigh...

The work on Andrew's vehicle went, well...

I lost TWO (2) bolts! They just vaporized. One right in front of three pairs of eyes!

Everything is running fine, no worries there, however, I just don't lose bolts. It was all very embarrassing. Andrew and Ezekiel were very polite about it but I can just imagine the head shaking afterwards, sigh.

Ah well, getting old I guess...

It was great seeing David, meeting Ezekiel and spending more time with Andrew.

Nothing on tomorrow!

Sounds suspiciously like witchcraft may have been in play.
Andrew should never have opened "The" book.

Frankenbolts

Post by Andrew »

Some magic must have whisked those bolts away. I will confess that I seem to have a negative influence on machinery--in my presence, if it's broken, it's always completely broken, for example, or not easily repaired--so I imagine the missing bolts were somehow my fault, in fact... call it involuntary witchcraft, if you will. I'm so happy to have the Volvo on the road! That's all that counts. Chalk up another one for John the Volunteer! (P.S. How are we ever going to pay him back?)

Chinotto, warm sunshine and friends on scooters, that's what I want, thank you kindly.

I don't mind waiting.

wait times

Post by Andrew »

Our health care system must have something to do with the weather--given the often extreme wait times... Let's hope there's some sunshine and riding before May! The Chinotto should be available in the meanwhile (like a MediCentre)...
