Out of Province Inspection Search

Post by Reba »

Hi all,

I am looking for a Out-of-Province Inspection mechanic for my '81 Vespa 100. I have one recommendation but they want $215 +GST. Is this normal??!! More recommendations so I can shop around would be great. #AlbertaIsExpensive.

[sigh]

I had mine done at Time Machine for, if I remember correctly, less.

I've had two of them done at time machine and they were both around $200-225. That sounds in the range of what you can expect to pay.

Time Machine actually inspects the bike, and often catches things that are unsafe. Yes, they now charge around $200. $125 is very cheap.

time machine will probably be the cheapest and the most forgiving. I went to get my 100 sport inspected there and I had a bicycle squeeze horn attached to it and they still passed it. But I know kinda know John....so who knows.

I do OPIs on autos and a bulb horn is legal.

Time machine is more forgiving which helps a great deal with vintage scoots. I have mine done by Cycle Works. Do not go to Argyll Motorsports, they haven't clue if it is older than 15 years.

You will need to have working signals with an 1981 model.
