So, due to the heavy rain and Tracey and I living so close to the Elbow River, we had to evacuate our apartment this afternoon. We left with the two kitties and some clothes, but had to leave the scooters behind. I got the scooters out of the underground parking and left them on some higher ground, but unfortunately still in the flood zone. Hopefully we are not displaced too long and the scoots come out of this without any damage.

We have taken refuge at Tracey's sisters and expect that we will be out of our place for a few more days minimum.

Well a bit of happy news. It appears our scooters were spared from the water. We left them on higher part of our parking lot and it seems like the water went around them. We will know more once we are allowed back to our building. The water around it is still quite high somewhere around 3-4 feet deep.
Bad news it doesn't look like our building will be livable for a long time. Last time it flooded like this residents of our building were out of it for up to a month. This flood was much much worse.

So Tracey warned me not to post that the scooters were okay and she was right. We were finally able to see them. The engines were fully submerged for the last couple days. And the Stella was under water from the seat down.
Anyone know how to wring water out of an scooter?
As for everything else we are on the second floor so its all okay. We should be allowed escorted access in a few days to get what we need. The current news is we will be out of there for at least 4 weeks.

Take apart anything that was below the waterline, clean it out, new seals and bearings if required. Not fun.
You are more than welcome to bring them up here and we'll sort 'em out. I can only handle one at a time at my place but there are a couple of garages we store them in as we work our way through.
