ideas? advice?

Post by Andrew »

I missed buying this last fall for $2000 on Salt Spring by a couple of days. Dude in Victoria picked it up for cheap and now wants $3000. He has not even cleaned crud out of carb to start it...

It was indeed a one-owner bike that rode its 5XXX km on Salt Spring from almost new, that much I know.

What do you think?

The only thing that makes me wonder, is why hasnt one of the lambretta aficionados on the Island or in Van, snapped it up? .....is the guy selling it 100 years old? why all the shakey blurry pictures?

For the $1K uptick, you think the dude could at least take some decent pictures. Or is he attempting to simulate the blinding speed these things achieve in real life?

I don't want to give him the satisfaction of making a grand without even cleaning the carb, so I would not buy it for more than $2K on principle anyway.

The scooter aficionados here probably don't know this dude, because he clearly is not one of them!
