Sunday morning scooter puttering

Post by jbcollier »

Will be puttering on Raz's (and our) friend Paul's Lammy. He's lost spark, or at least can't remember where he put it. Also Giovanni will be bringing a 100 Sport by to have a look at the wiring. Festivities kick off at 9 am.

That went very well. Paul's was very straight forward. New Bosch plug to replace the fouled NGK and we were away again. Giovanni's was quite a bit more work. The usual chasing down bad grounds and crossed up wiring. We got all the DC electrics working and also sorted throttle cable adjustment and a some other things. Few more parts to order and he should (touch wood) be good.

John, Igor, David and Yarko came by and a very good time as had by all.

Next week we ride!

Sounds like was fun, or at least educational.

John-hoping to connect soon with you guys but had to take a weekend job on top of this regular job for now for a bit. Hoping to chat about that clunking sound when I brake that we tried to resolve at your house, came back soon after leaving your place of course as these things do, but it's still stopping fine-I didn't take off the wheel but otherwise tried to explore on my own. I think maybe I am just bashing my wheel in my sleep on purpose so I have an excuse to see you guys as miss the fun-working for a living is for the dogs.....

Hope your all having a great summer. Had my Derbi going 115/hr most of the way back to Edmonton from Lac St. Anne with a good tailwind after a visit to mothers (guess I should mention that I was going 80 full out on the way there against the wind lol)......Put a thousand KMs on the little fella in the last two months alone. I have used my car less that 5 times since April, kinda nice. Cheers.

:P

I am usually free in the evenings, though a little busy tonight. Free for the next two weeks I would think.

Of course as soon as you emailed back the clunking sound stopped. That said before it did the front brake stiffened up a couple days prior. So now stiff brake is there but clunking sound gone, and still stopping just fine!

Have oil 0-w.....

I am free tonight, wed and Thurs from 5 on this week if any dates work for you.

I have oil. It will have to be after supper though so no pizza either. Bring your cheery self and a scoot and I'll be happy. Say 6:30?

630 it is. No Pizza I guess..... :(

Th oil is just an extra I owe ya, and an excuse to drop by-the scoot I suspect is mostly okay, or has some sorta minor issue that just requires your expertise I think, and I just need your reassurance. See you then.
