Sorry John. I was almost certain that everyone had decided on the Thursday plans instead of bike nite.....I would have enjoyed the ride as well...damn. I'm riding to work in the morn. Should be fresh...

Hi John
Sorry I didn't make it out. Cold, tired and bagged from the grind yesterday. Could not face the ride into the city and I pretty much figured the weather would keep folks away.
So, anybody else coming out for a supper meet tonight. Charlene and I will be there regardless, I just want to know how many other people I should say are coming when I get to the restaurant.
Man, is it going to be cold out there this morning. I am off the job fair today. See what kind of work a military guy can qualify for these days.
Keep the shiny side up
Trevor
Vy is it vee get too soon olt and too late schmart?
Charlene and I will be making the treck in of course. Looks like Trudy is coming with us as well. Anybody else. Hullo, is there anybody out there....
The address is 9515 118 Avenue and I am shooting to be there for 6:30. Was not able to get through to make a reservation. Hopefully one is not required tonite.
Cya there

Mixed reviews from last nights supper. I have to offer my apologies. That is the third time I have eaten at Renatos and it was by far and away the most dismall dining I have had there to this point. The service in the past has been excellent and the quality of the food exemplary. Last night, not so much. When you don't have the necessary ingredients for your establishments signature dish, you know things are on a slide.
I am speculating that the B-team was on last night as the A-team was off, getting ready for the weekend rush. I have driven by the place on a friday night and there wasn't an empty seat in the house.
But the company was good, the conversation interesting, and the ride to the gelato bar relaxing. I particularely liked the race btwn John and the kid on the V-Max. Trudy started to relax a bit on the ride last night. I think she was still in the "OH MY GOD I AM ABOUT TO DIE" mode when we started off from her place.
Hopefully the next supper mtg has better food. Cya all on Sunday and keep the shiny side up

FYI....having worked in the produce industry for over 25 years, I can tell you the best day to dine is Tuesday, that's in regards to the quality of the supplies. Most restaurants re-supply on Mondays and buy enough to carry them through the week. Believe it or not on Fridays and Saturdays, there produce is the oldest...
I'm sure some of us will want to try Renato's again, those of us that couldn't make it...

That's why you never order blackened snapper on sunday evening. Its the fish thats almost gone off, so they cover it up with spices and throw it on the menu. (Hope this doesn't make me a foodie Trevor) Furthermore, I had that guy on the VMax, I had him...
