Hi Bruce,
I am going to make up a leakdown tester before the weekend. I have an old fuel pressure gauge and a bunch of brass fittings so it should be fairly straight forward -- as these things need be for a man of my lowly intellectual stature. Let me know when you are free and we can make up some plugs for the exhaust and inlet and see what's up.

Hi Bruce,
I checked with SWMBO and Monday night after 7 is OK. I will bring the bits and bobs and see you then.
For those of you following this thread, the air leak was at the base of the cylinder.

Bruce,
I think we should double check how the cylinder fits to cases. Slide the cylinder on once more with NO gasket and maker sure it is sitting flat.

I"m glad that you guys were able to find out what was wrong with Bruce's scoot. It would have been a shame to not have it ready for when it does warm up in Edmonton. Would you believe it was plus 21 today in Jasper, the weather was great, bikes were out on the streets, but the skiing sucked.
