The final word on P-series + batteries?

Post by LibertineAudrey »

Ok, so I know this has been discussed and settled a million times, but what IS the final word on running a (my) P200 without the battery in it? Is it ok to do, or am I looking for trouble?

i actually prefer running it w/o a battery...less maintenance and functionally it;s about the same. you just have to rewire the stator or buy a new stator. switch the from a 5 pin regulator to a 3 pin one and a new harness or you can make your own which isn;t as hard as you think.

No problem, I just pulled the battery and wondered if it was a bad idea to ride as-is. But I'm thinking that putting the battery back in is easier to do for now. :D

If there is no problem, I would just put the battery back in.
