First Annual Modrey Memorial Run

Post by jbcollier »

No, she's not dead but we did almost freeze her to death this last Sunday. In order to repay the favour, we will ride out to Shannon's mother's restaurant for brunch on Sunday November 7.

This run will be weather dependant. Right now it looks to be coolish with an overnight low Saturday of -3°C and a high Sunday of +6°C. Finally Audrey will get a short ride and be able to laugh at our frozen selves.

Details to follow!

Hawt. If the diner isn't open, country boys on Wye might be an option. I thunk they have breakfast for sure, but don't know about brunch.

As long as they don't think that a bunch of scooterists showing up is the first sign of the apocalypse!

The diner will be open, just I don't know if brunch will be avail. Mom stops the brunch over the summer and starts up around this time. Mom is out of province right now, but should be home tomorrow. I'll ask her then and let everyone know.

No problem with me getting up that early what say the rest of the troops?

Shannon,

Could you find out if lunch would be available? I have a feeling we'll have a low turn out with an 8 or 9 am start!

Ok, here's the itinerary:

10:30 am: meet at Tra Amici (112 St & 76 Ave)

11 am ride out to South Cooking Lake

Noonish: have lunch at Shannon's mother's restaurant (it's right "downtown")

1 - 1:30 pm head into Sherwood Park to "Cafe Haven" for the opening of Igor's show: Shadow and Light.

Exhausted, stuffed to the gills with good food and laden down with fine art, head home!

How does that sound?
