Coocase on my Vino
Ok gang. I bit the bullet and got started installing this creature comfort (with alarm - tee hee) on my scoot.
Let's say it was like riding in the rain - not something you want to do, but it might be necessary after a night out.
There are some wiring instructions in the box, but nothing really about mounting the base plate. The Twisted Throttle website has some photos, but no step-by-step instructions. Internet - similarly bare.
90 minutes for the base plate installation - I probably could have done it faster if I'd had a better look at the photos on the website and understood them more.
I posted a document on my blog. Only half done because there's electrical left to do, but I may need to get some help at a workshop next time. The battery has push on connectors for the terminals, oriented down and inside the guts of the machine. I might be able to get to it if I remove the storage bin under the seat, but it's still not going to have posts for ring connectors. The kit came with some tap-in and screw connectors, nice touch, but I'll have to figure out the best way to get it all secure.
Oh, and I during my research, I read someone commented that they didn't find the lights bright enough, and their OEM taillight was kind of obstructed by having the case, so they suggested an additional lighting kit. Nifty thing this is AdMore Lightbar, and there's more than one kind. http://bit.ly/kmP05p

Wow, John, really, I can wait for a group gathering, or are you craving some donuts? Or is there a more desirable treat? Home made? An appointment with my massage therapist when she gets back from Peru and Ecuador?
I don't figure it'll take a pro more than 30 minutes. I have a motorcycle lift (sorry, not fancy deck like David's), we could put a board on it & strap it down to hoist the scoot up a bit so we can sit on the ground to work if we need to.
Right, triathlon closes Groat road Sunday. Funny, not a peep in the news, twitter or any signs in my neighbourhood.

10 am sounds great.
What's a good entry donation? Nanaimo bars? Chocolate fudge rice krispie squares? Banana muffins? A little early, but Stella? Chinotto is at hand to.
Biscotti and coffee? Although I fear the coffee might not be warm upon delivery.

We have't been, but we know where it is… drive by and go "Hey, that's where John (& SWMBO) lives!" It's not far from Paul in Parkallen at the top of Groat.

Finally got a chance to ride at night.
Paul says it looks good.
I'm a happy camper.
Oh, and when you lock the case, it locks it to the mounting plate as well.
NO mention of that anywhere in the manual, website, specs or instructions!
Phew - I was worried I was leaving an expensive thing defenseless on the back of my ride when I parked.
Did I mention thank you? Again and again?
Could we take you and SWMBO out for an evening sometime soon?
